About Us

Employment Coalition of Florida Inc. (ECF) has been providing quality services since our founding. In July 1995 a small group of job developers from agencies who traditionally competed against each other came together to share ideas to improve employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. In 1998 ECF became an incorporation and a couple of months later became a Nonprofit 501C3 Organization. ECF now holds a tax identification number and completes the necessary paperwork each year to stay as a NON PROFIT.

We now have more than 20 participating agencies. We believe the best way to achieve our goals is to cooperate rather than compete, share techniques and job leads, and work together to increase placement opportunities.

Employment Coalition of Florida Inc. meets on a monthly basis to:

• Exchange ideas
• Share job leads
• Educate ourselves
• Interact with employers
• Put people with disabilities to work

We work with people who represent the complete range of physical, cognitive, and mental disabilities, have a vast range of experiences and skills, and who need jobs.

Our Meetings provide support, information and expertise to our members.

We are NOT an employment Agency. Each member works for agencies who are providing services and each member is working towards providing the best service possible to their clients. We, as an organization, are able to assist each member with new ideas or a different point of view. We are able to network to provide leads to services such as housing, medication, transportation services.

ECF does have yearly events such as an Employer Awards Breakfast, Educational Seminars and Fund Raising Events.
